Melbourne Manual for International Law Citation ('MMILC')

The MMILC is an elegant and practical standard for the citation of international law sources as well as a repository of useful research tips and links. It was originally designed as an inhouse editorial tool for MJIL members.

Since its online release to the public, the MMILC has registered over 10 000 visits from across the globe. Many visitors have also taken advantage of the 'citation query service', managed by MJIL's Citation Coordinator. The value of the MMILC has been recognised both within and beyond the Melbourne Law School. In this regard, the MMILC has been adopted as a citation standard and recommended reference guide in a number of University subjects.
